Instructor Bio: Charlie Redmond graduated from Springfield College in 1968 with a degree in Physical Education and Health. He also earned a Master of Education degree in Physical Education in 1971, and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1981. He was named dean of the Springfield College School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation in 2008, a position he held until the start of the 2013-14 school year. He was inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007, and he was the 2004-05 Distinguished Springfield Professor of Humanics. Linda Redmond earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education in 1970 from Springfield College, and her master’s degree from the then-Westfield State College in Special Education 1993. She subsequently taught physical education in schools in Hartford, Conn., and special education in Springfield, Mass., schools.
